UX Strategy: Build the Right Product, Then Build It Right
The most expensive UX mistake isn't bad usability — it's building the wrong product for the wrong users in the wrong market position. Our UX strategy engagements happen before any designs are made. They clarify who you're really serving, what they're really trying to accomplish, and which product moves will move the business forward. Everything else — research, design, CRO — becomes more efficient when the strategy is right.
How We Approach UX Strategy
- Stakeholder alignment. Workshops with leadership, product, design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to surface assumptions, expose disagreements, and create a shared understanding of what success looks like.
- Competitive UX teardown. Deep analysis of 3–5 direct and adjacent competitors in the US market. We document their UX strengths, weaknesses, positioning, and the gaps where you can win.
- User segmentation and personas. Evidence-based personas drawn from your existing customer data, sales conversations, and user research — not made-up demographics designed by committee.
- Jobs-to-be-Done mapping. The specific outcomes your users are trying to achieve, the alternatives they're currently using, and the trade-offs they're willing to accept. This is where most product strategy goes wrong — confusing features with jobs.
- Feature prioritization matrix. Every potential product move scored on user impact, business impact, technical effort, and strategic alignment. Output is a prioritized roadmap your team can execute on.
What You Get
A product strategy document covering positioning, personas, competitive landscape, prioritized feature roadmap, and success metrics. Plus an executive presentation suitable for board or leadership alignment, and a follow-up session 90 days after delivery to course-correct based on what you've learned in market.
When to Invest in UX Strategy
Before a major product pivot, before raising a new funding round, when you're seeing flat growth despite product investment, or when you're entering a new market segment. UX strategy engagements typically run 4–6 weeks and pay for themselves by avoiding 6–12 months of misdirected product investment.
